Beauuutiful Nubar polishes, have a look!

When browsing thru the net, I found this fun blog:
http://paintedladyfingers.blogspot.com/2010/06/nubar-california-dreamin-giveaway.html
And they are having a give-away right now! Anyone can enter until July 1st, which is great!
It is called "California Giveaway" and includes 8 beautiful Nubar polishes plus beach accessoires!
I just love the summer colors ... they are so bright and bold and in your face :)
Especially the Mali-Blue is something for me, I just dig blues and turquoises, I can't help it.
For a photo, see above.

Very nice, very nice ...

As for the polishes - I own quite a few Nubars myself. 12 I've counted so far, 2 duochromes, 2 lovely greyed out purples, one matte and a few pinks, one blue and 2 of the Greener collection. I like Nubars very much, they have the prettiest bottle of all brands, imho. It looks graceful, slim, doesn't easily tip over (like LAsplash ... or some of the Essence bottles from Limited Editions. Those high narrow bottles look elegant, but they are so easily knocked over ...) and I just really like the shape of them.
They look like little sisters of Nfu.oh, apart from the victorian design, but the shape is similar.

Have you ever thought about your bottle shapes? Which brand's shapes do you like most, which are the ugliest?
In my opinion, Nicole by Opi has by far the ugliest bottles. Urgh. Sephora's are not that pretty, either. OPI and China Glaze have an almost triangle shape, Color Club and Misa go for a rectangular shape with long caps ... Essie and Zoya are not that high and therefore fit better into my storage rack. Sally Hansen has many different shapes for their different editions. Nyx looks like CC, only different cap ... Rescue Beauty Lounge and p2 go for a square shape ... and the others I have are all pretty standard. MAC stands out a little bit with their cylindric shape.

But all in all I like Nubars shape best.

And though my favorite colors are definitely all blues and purples, I also wear other colors, especially in Summer.
Teehee ... I just noticed a spelling error on one of my pink Nubars, it's actually called "Orchid", a really nice, little muted, littly dusty mid-tone pink with a slight pearl shimmer to it, but on the sticker it says "Ochrid" ;) Does that mean it's a fake? *ponders*
